Janice Trimpe is a leading sculptor in Michigan. She began her artistic career as an oil painter and potter before studying sculpture at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. She has completed over 200 portrait busts including those of Michigan Governor G. Mennen Williams and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Though trained as a classical sculptor, Janice has challenged herself by entering new arenas. Most recently she has been developing a new contemporary line of art made of bonded marble, and producing life-like porcelain dolls. She also focuses on commissioned, large outdoor bronze monuments and memorials.
