The HDLGBA is a hybrid structure, serving many functions; a Chamber of Commerce, a Tourism Bureau, a Main Street organization, an Economic Development Commission, a public relations firm and more. We are members of the National Trust For Historic Preservation's National Main Street Center, and structured with the Main Street Four Point Approach (expanded to Five) in mind.

Nestled in historic homes and buildings that date back to the community's roots in the 1800's, Long Grove's many shops specialize in unique gifts, boutiques, exceptional art and home decor, and distinctive menus. Visitors can stroll the brick pathways that wind through the historic downtown and enjoy seasonal lush gardens and scenic views. And they can make it a quick trip or a day's outing, shopping and indulging their tastes with a variety of food and bakery products, cafes, and fine eating establishments.

If you can't find what you're looking for within the city limits, a Diego masterpiece or ballpark hot dog is just a bus ride away. No community has a better balance of neighborhood charm, award winning downtown and central location than Ferndale.
