Cook Memorial Public Library District
The doors are open at the new Cook Park Library! The Ribbon cutting and re-opening ceremonies on January 8 drew thousands (!!) of people excited to see the remodeled and expanded facilities
Libertyville Mayor Terry Wepple, library director Stephen Kershner and library trustee Bonnie Quirke cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the new facility. Some new features include a computer bank with 26 computers, a state-of-the-art children's section (with its own computer and DVD section), a young adult area, a study area, a tremendous DVD selection, a self-checkout area and much much more.
The remodeling involved adding 11,000-plus square feet of space and walls of window to give plenty of light and a feeling of openess.
