About Us

The YWCA Lake County has been a viable resource for women, girls and families since 1922. What began in Waukegan as a residence for young women has evolved into a countywide organization that serves thousands. Our mission and purpose has remained the same over the years; however, our programs have developed to reflect the changing needs of the community.
